Over 80 teams to participate in The Hong Kong Football Academy's 6th Annual International Football Tournament
Hong Kong; 30th April 2010: Around 80 teams are expected to participate in this year’s 6th Annual International Tournament, hosted by The Hong Kong Football Academy. The tournament will be held at King George V Park on June 5, 2010 (Sunday) from 9 – 3pm. The tournament promises to be the biggest event ever, since it started in 2005, with local teams being joined by clubs from Thailand, Singapore, Qatar, Macau and Shanghai.
The championships will be divided into six different age groups- U8, U9, U10, U11, U12 and U14- with all teams playing a minimum of 5 games of 12 mins at 7-aside. In addition to the Championship titles every team involved gets to select their own “Best Player Award”.
“The Academy’s Annual Tournament is always a lot of hard work but it is worth it every year because it always attracts the best teams here in Hong Kong and is really a fantastic competition. This year promises to be even better with so many teams coming from further afield”. remarked tournament director and Academy Head, Edward Fordham.
The tournament, in its sixth year of existence, has become a permanent fixture among the junior players in Hong Kong. Like its past tournaments, the Academy expects over 800 participants and twice as many families to join in the day of fun and excitement.
Bouncy Castle, Food and Beverages and toilet facilities will all be provided on the day.
Limited places are still available. Registration fee is at HK$1000 per team. If interested, please contact Sammy Wong at +852 28667931 or Sammy@hkf-academy.com
